Amsterdam Grappling Academy
We are excited to show off our second collaboration with the up and coming competition team Amsterdam Grappling Academy! This new team on the block is hungry to take over the competition scene in the Netherlands and then in Europe. With dedicated members who believe in their vision there is no disputing the fact that they will continue to grow fast.
Amsterdam Grappling Academy(AGA) is founded by 3 grappling experts with the idea to take over the whole Dutch grappling scene. Taking pride in their extensive training schedule around the Amsterdam area, giving classes twice a day every weekday. They aim to create an army that will be leading the grappling scene in the coming years.
The three instructors Julio Vinke (BJJ Blackbelt), Fernando Arce(BJJ Blackbelt) and Joris Rookhuijzen(BJJ Purplebelt, Judo Blackbelt) each have their own expertise and coaching styles. These three styles create a synergy of expansive knowledge and methods giving their team the ability to develop at whatever pace and in whatever style they like. The coaches aim to create a big competition team as they find that it is important to experience that in your grappling journey. Most of their team members are currently competing, creating a training atmosphere that is motivating and inspiring.
There is something special about the vibes and atmosphere when training at AGA. The team is very dedicated but also full of people who not only try to push themselves but also the people around them. APEX is proud to work with a team that encapsulates the whole ideology behind APEX so well. A team that has the mentality that is as intense as it is welcoming.
For AGA we have designed a rashguard that is able to withstand all of the heat of their competition team. The rashguard used the beautiful colours that the team had chosen to create a simple contrasting design. The three flags of the coaches's their countries were integrated to highlight the diversity of their team and knowledge. A small design element was added to one of the sleeves highlighting their unofficial team slogan.
